Kartoro FAQ
Quick answers before you take the grid.
Is Kartoro free?
Yes. Kartoro is completely free to play. Open the website and race — there is nothing to buy.
Do I need to download anything?
No. Kartoro runs in your web browser on laptops, tablets and phones. A mobile app is planned next.
Do I need an account or email?
No. Just pick a racer name. Your name and times are saved on your own device only; no email or personal details are collected.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. On phones and tablets you get on-screen steering and pedals. It works best in recent versions of Chrome and Safari.
Which browsers work?
Recent versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox on Windows, Mac, Chromebook, Android and iPhone.
Can I race my friends or coworkers?
You can open a race room and share the room code, and compare times on the leaderboard by team. Live online multiplayer is planned; until then your rivals are computer-controlled.
How do I unlock karts and tracks?
Win races. Every win moves you up a level and unlocks the next track theme. New karts unlock at Levels 2 to 5.
Are there power-ups?
No. Kartoro is pro-style racing. Slipstream, push to pass, drifting and clean laps decide who wins, so the leaderboard stays fair.
Is there sound?
Yes: engine, tyres, start lights and the crowd. Use the speaker button to mute it at any time.
Why did my times disappear?
Times are saved in your browser on this device. Clearing browser data, using a private window or switching devices starts fresh.
Is Kartoro safe for kids?
Kartoro has no chat, no sign-up and does not collect personal details. The site may show ads in the future; see the Privacy Policy for details.
Who made Kartoro?
Kartoro is made by independent developer Lakshya Saxena. See the About page or get in touch on the Contact page.
